Mysterious Martians Strike Again! By Amara Butt by raver24

If we had killed all the aliens, if we hadn’t panicked carelessly than none of this drama would have occurred.

I now regret not killing all the aliens. It’s too dreadful to tell. Sadly, I have no choice……

There I was, with my best friend Zamarud, peacefully strolling through my local park. The trees were as green as emeralds, the sky a glowing sapphire blue. Illuminating violets were blooming beautifully.

I was relaxed, but as soon as I sat down, Zamarud was not her usual self. Her cheerful blue eyes were a dull, grey, and her shining pink lips were a depressing purple.

“Zamarud, what’s the matter?” I asked curiously. I waited for 30 seconds, but there was no reply.  I touched her arm, but it was stone frozen. Upset that something was wrong with her, I stared into an unclear muddy puddle. There behind me, just as the last time, was: a huge, black creature lurching towards me. As saliva dripped out of its mouth, surprisingly, in ENGLISH it screeched,

“I’M BACK AGAIN OOOOOOLLLLAAAA!”

My hands turned a pale cream colour, and I fainted. I dreamt that I was in Shrek 2 and Puss in Boots whacked me on the arm with his solid black boot for being in the wrong story!

Back in reality, I realised that there was only one alien, however it could produce some Martianettes, therefore rule the “small world”. Thinking fast, I grabbed a bucket full of chilly ice-cubes, knowing that aliens were not used to the cold, since Mars was extremely scorching, slowly ran up to the slimy green monster and threw the immense cold contraption on it.

Hearing the ugly thing screaming in pain, filled me with guilt, but I knew that it was for everyone’s own good. Suddenly, a thought struck me. What if a Martianette suffered, because I had killed their mother!!! That thought filled me with tears. As I sobbed, out of nowhere, a faint voice in the distance whispered,

“Don’t worry, I forgive you!”

Crying tears of happiness, and relief, I ran up to all of my friends to tell them about my miraculous adventure.  Suddenly, I heard an army of furious Martians running behind me, desperate to get revenge….

Now I am still running for survival, this could be my last breath.

“AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!”

The power of the sun. By Dipasha Hussain by raver24

Did you ever wonder how the sun was formed, how old it was and much more?

Although it is the biggest star of our solar system there is much more facts that makes the sun very important. The sun is 4 and a half billion years old. Scientist discovered that the sun would last approximately 5 billion years.

According to what a scientist said, is that the sun was made from tiny particles like clouds; eventually they had pushed so hard together it had become a part of the solar system also known as the biggest star (the sun) .

  • The sun is actually white. Although it is yellow from where we see it. This is because of the atmospheric scattering.
  • About three quarters of the sun’s mass is hydrogen while the rest is helium.
  • Without the sun there would be no solar system because the sun holds up all the planets and earth in space.
  • The sun is made out of 7 trillion nuclear bombs.
  • The sun’s core is 27 million degrees Fahrenheit.

What people thought of the sun?

Years ago many religions had worshiped the sun. During the ancient Egyptian time’s people believed that sun worship was exceptionally prevalent. The suns movement is to represent a struggle between the Pharaoh’s soul and an avatar of Osiris. There are other types of people who also worshipped the sun.
